Local Food Spots on the Island

Places to get Local Nigerian Meals on the Island

While we definitely have to give Mainland Restaurants their onions when it comes to Nigerian Delicacies, restaurants on the island are not left out and are matching up!

We’ve curated a list of local food spots on the island where you can get authentic Nigerian dishes for days you might be craving it.  In no particular order, here are some top spots we highly recommend.

1. The Junction Restaurant

For native igbo soups and delicacies, The Junction Restaurant at Lekki is just the perfect spot. We tried out their nkwobi and our tastebuds were drooling for more. The aesthetics of the spot is minimal, yet they maintained a rustic decor. It’s quite spacious and suitable for a casual date with friends. We would rate the service a 5/10.

Terra Kulture has been in existence for over a decade in Lagos and they know their tea. They’ve  been consistent with serving good Nigerian dishes. It is very spacious restaurant that has a rustic and very welcoming ambience, and we love how they infused African aesthetics into this spot. They have a mix of both local and continental local dishes on their menu.

They brought the  south to Lagos, so you don’t have to miss home. This is a great spot to visit on Sunday evenings, as they also have a live band performance.

It is a fast-food restaurant, with a small dining area, but their meals are absolutely tasty! They have a variety of Nigerian meals to choose from on their menu. Try out their coconut rice and edikaikong soup and thank us later.
