Mood Lagos; Under 20k Spot in Lekki
Budget-friendly restaurants in Lagos that give value for money can count on us to revisit. We visited Mood Lagos at Lekki, an under 20k spot in Lekki that gives good value for money, and we had a great time, from good and affordable food to nice ambience and welcoming staff. Also, if you’re looking for an affordable date spot in Lekki, you just found one!
Mood Lagos rebranded, and they transformed it to a very beautiful space. They still kept on with some of their traditions, as their menu offering is a mix of Nigerian and intercontinental dishes.
We tried out a mix of Nigerian and Intercontinental dishes on their menu, and we weren’t disappointed.
We went for:
- Abula; I had Abula myself. I was initially uncertain when I ordered the Abula with goat meat, but it turned out to be so delicious. The amala had that authentic flavour, it had enough ogufe (goat meat) that was tender. The portion was generous enough to satisfy two people!
- Creamy Herb Pasta: the pasta sauce was nice, but we wished the pasta had been cooked in the sauce a bit longer to make it juicier. It seemed like the sauce didn’t blend well with the pasta.

Mood Lagos is an affordable date spot to go on casual dates with friends and lovers, as well as after-work dates and even solo dates. For any of these types of dates, we suggest this location.
