Where to Get Authentic Nigerian Meals and Grills in Lagos
When it comes to enjoying the best food in Lagos, finding a place that truly nails Nigerian cuisine is a jackpot. Recently, we recently discovered a new restaurant in Lagos that does just that, you need to try them. BlarkArk Grill Restaurant is Located at Victoria Island, this new restaurant has quickly become our favorite for delicious Nigerian meals and grills. We’ve visited them more than once, so we recommend them with our full chest.
The ambiance of this restaurant is very chilled, with various seating options to choose from. The fact that they have games makes it an ideal spot for hanging out with friends or going on a casual date. They also have an outdoor seating area upstairs, which is covered, and also a great spot to take pictures.
BlarkArk’s menu is focused mainly on Nigerian meals, with various options that will excite your taste buds. On our recent visit, we tried a bit of everything, and here’s our verdict.
Meals we had
- Small Chops: We had a platter with small chops and chicken, it was so tasty… Just the right way to start our feast.
- Banga Soup with Poundo: This soup was packed with prawns, snails, and other seafood. It was so flavorful and delicious that we couldn’t get enough.
- Afang Soup with Poundo: My partner had this one. I’m not big on vegetable soups, but she loved it.
- Grilled Catfish & Grilled Rabbit: The grilled dishes here are on point, and we must say, the marinade really got to the soul of the dishes. They were both juicy and well-seasoned.
- Yam Fries: These deserve a shout-out. They were crispy and perfectly seasoned, the perfect side to the grills.
For drinks, The cocktails here are surprisingly good. They were a great match for the food.
BlarkArk is a new restaurant in Lagos that has undoubtedly earned the right to “chop our money.” The combination of traditional Nigerian dishes and expertly grilled proteins makes it a must-visit spot in Lagos. If any small hunger and breeze blows us away, you can bet we’ll be back at BlarkArk.
