Is Gras Restaurant the most expensive restaurant in Lagos?
Our eagerness to try out new restaurants in Lagos led us to the doors of Gras Restaurant. It’s a fine dining restaurant, and the first time we came across their menu, we gulped hard because e choke!
Anyway, we patiently waited for Mastercard Restaurant Week, and guess the restaurant we spotted in the fine dining category? Lo and behold—Gras Lagos! As opportunity comes but once, we made a stop here during the Mastercard restaurant week in Lagos, and here’s how our experience went:
The space:
It screams luxury dining and yes you’ll see the pretty car as you walk in.
One distinctive feature of this restaurant is its spacious and non-identical dining areas, filled with natural lighting during the day. Little did we know that they had an outdoor dining area but we are glad they do!
Now to the food:
Gras Restaurant has a mix of European and Mediterranean dishes on its menu.
On arrival, we were welcomed with complimentary bread and sauce that set the tone for the meals. Within ten minutes or so, our starter arrived, and we requested the Mastercard restaurant week menu.
We had:
- Beef Taquitos: Tasted more like spring rolls with beef, but a leveled-up version.
- S.A. Beef Tenderloin and Mashed Potatoes: We wanted the dish well-done, but it was medium, and the mashed potatoes were a bit too salty for us. Not our favorite meal.
- Mini Crème Brulee: This was a sweet indulgence! A bit too sweet for our tastebuds, but a great choice for those who have a sweet tooth.

Our experience at Gras earned them a solid 7/10. Attentive service, tasty meals, and a very nice ambience.
We think Gras Restaurant is worth a visit for a fine-dining experience.
