A trip to Paris from Lagos Nigeria- Noir

Cheers to many many more lunch date with my fellow foodies! I made a stop for lunch at Noir Lagos, a French restaurant located in the heart of Victoria Island Lagos. As usual I come bearing gist 😌.

The food: We had the Barbeque chicken platter, this was good and serves three people. The grilled peri peri chicken tasted tender and paired well with the sauce options we had which were Pineapple Chilli chutney, peri peri sauce and Tzatziki. The crispy drum stick lollipop was just perfect, crunchy on the outside and juicy inside- my fav on the platter. The kebab was average and I didn’t quite get the flavouring or spices in it, I’ll trade it for more chicken lollipop hehe 😉
Our sides were French fries 🍟, potato fondant and crushed garlic and parsley potatoes. For French fries I have no comment it tasted like French fries 😂, I enjoyed the garlic and parsley potatoes! It was well cooked and as the name suggests sufficient in garlic and parsley flavours. The Potatoes fondant was baked potatoes and tasted average.
We also had pizza, the toppings were good and tasted fine but the crust was a no no for me, kept breaking like sliced bread 😢.

The Space: Ermmm Noir is nice and looks classy, ambience is good and space is pretty but it didn’t blow my mind sadly. The indoor restaurant seating arrangement is decent and there are artworks in some corners but I was expecting more honestly. The ambience is solid tho, it’s a good spot of group hangouts or dinners. I’ll advise you book ahead before visiting.

The drinks: We had Cranberry and Thyme cocktail, Tequila Sunrise, and Italian colada. Cranberry and thyme was different- a good different, I could taste the gin, thyme and cranberry juice and this combo in particular is lovely- I think Gin cocktails should be given some accolades please 😂😂.
The Tequila sunrise was too syrupy for me, you all should spot your favourite grenadine syrup…I no like am 😂. The Italian colada was not alcoholic and tasted pretty decent. In Bolu’s words, it tasted like pinacolada.

Overall I had a great time, got to meet fellow foodies and we discussed international issues 😉
