Gusto Lagos: Restaurant in VI

Is Gusto Lagos worth visiting?

This question lingers in the hearts of many Lagosians, and we’re here to give an answer. Gusto Lagos is an Asian restaurant in Victoria Island, Lagos, that works perfect for both fine dining and an outdoor chill spot. There’s a fusion of Asian and Mediterranean cuisine on their menu, which is quite interesting.

Now let’s explain. The indoor space of this restaurant is absolutely gorgeous, with excellent lighting. The aesthetics of this spot check all  the boxes of an ideal date night spot, although we would have appreciated it more if there were a bit more space between the tables. The outdoor space didn’t quite live up to our expectations, but it’s a nice spot to chill during the evenings as it’ll be too hot to dine in there on a sunny day.

First up, let’s talk about the star of the show, the food

We tried out their
  • Pineapple fried rice: this meal is a good value for money; the flavours of the rice stood out, and it was generously prepared with a lot of ingredients. This meal can comfortably satisfy two people.
  • Crème la brûlée: This dessert was solid! It tasted really nice.

When it comes to Gusto Lagos, our hearts are set on two things: crème la brûlée and pineapple fried rice, which deserve a 7/10 and 8/10 rating, respectively.

Moving on to the drinks:

They were not mind-blowing, but they were decent. We asked for their best cocktail. We got the Pornstar Martini, and it hit the spot—a good 7/10

For customer service, the staff were super friendly, and, as you know, good service always adds that extra spice to any dining  experience.

To answer the question, Gusto Lagos is definitely worth visiting; we had an amazing time, and you sure will if you plan on visiting.
