Somewhere to satisfy your seafood cravings
We were on a search for a place to enjoy Nigerian-style seafood in Lagos, especially on the mainland, and we found ourselves at an African restaurant in Ikeja, called, Tilapia and Tinz.
Tilapia and Tinz is known as the home of African seafood meals. We went out that day craving authentic Nigerian seafood dishes, and our visit to Tilapia and Tinz satisfied our cravings. The restaurant has a conducive indoor and outdoor dining area, perfect for a casual date with friends or private dining.
Now to the main gist: the food!
We tried out:
- Guinea fowl: First things first, why didn’t anyone tell us about the goodness of guinea fowl? It was delicious! The guinea fowl stole the show for us, perfectly seasoned and a good portion that could serve two people.
- Grilled octopus: We decided to step outside of our comfort zone and try out grilled octopus. Well, it tasted like octopus—nothing more, nothing less. If you’re into trying out new things, you might be interested in this.
- Grilled tilapia: The tilapia fish also had it’s own glory; it tasted good and could serve just one person.
The service was good, and the drinks were just okay and could taste better.
Total cost
- Guinea fowl: N9,700
- Grilled octopus: N10,700
- Grilled tilapia: N6,700
Mainland pals, you no longer need to go across the third mainland bridge for a good seafood meal. Tilapia and Tinz has brought the magic closer to home.
