In our quest for the best grilled fish in Lagos, we stumbled upon a hidden gem on the mainland. If you’re looking for delicious grilled fish in Surulere, we’ve got a spot you need to check out! Itagokwaife is a spot that caught our attention with its impressive fish size and grilling skills.
Itagokwaife is more of a street food spot, so don’t expect a dine-in area. It’s a decent and affordable spot that focuses mainly on grills and shawarma.
Meals we had
We tried their grilled catfish, and were delighted by its juiciness. The fish came with sweet potato fries, which were prepared in a unique way that pleasantly surprised us! The size of the fish was impressive, and with the complementary fries, it made this deal a steal for the price. We also tried the shawarma, which was fair, and we had juice to step it down.
The wait time was about 15-20 minutes as we met them already grilling. They also have excellent customer service, making our experience even better.
