We tried agbalumo boba tea at this boba tea spot in Lagos.
Now let’s talk about tea, but not just any tea—boba tea, and the best part is it has a local twist.
We’ve had boba tea multiple times, but this cosy and cute boba tea spot in Lekki caught our attention, and here’s why! They’ve managed to infuse local fruits into their menu, and a popular fave is the agbalumo (also known as udara) boba tea, and this was their seasonal special on our visit.
The Space
Teastoria is located in different parts of Lagos, but we visited the outlet at Lekki Phase 1. Although it’s a small space, it’s warm, inviting, and perfect for a quick solo date or a casual hangout with friends. The pastel colours, soft lighting, and minimalistic decor give it that cute, Instagram-worthy vibe that boba lovers and content creators will appreciate.
It’s not a sit-down spot, more of a grab-and-go with a few seating options. But for what it is, it works really well. You can sip on your chilled tea while chatting with a friend or people-watching from the little window seat.

What we tried out
- Agbalumo Boba Tea: The star of the visit was definitely the Agbalumo Boba Tea and yes, you read that right. Teastoria somehow captured that nostalgic sweet-sour tang of agbalumo in a cold, chewy, refreshing drink. We didn’t expect much (especially since it’s not agbalumo season), but it totally worked! Think childhood memories, but in boba form.
- Cookies: We also tried a couple of their cookies and those were surprisingly rich and buttery. Not just filler snacks, these were actually good. If you’re into tea and a sweet treat, this is a solid combo.
Cost Breakdown
Here’s what we spent on our visit:
- Agbalumo Boba Tea: N4,500 (Large Cup)
- Cookies: N1,200
See restaurant menu here: TEASTORIA MENU
Budget: N10,000
We had a good time here. The space, while small, was well thought out. The service was quick and friendly. The staff were also helpful in explaining the tea options and letting us try something seasonal.
This might not be your everyday hangout (unless you live or work around Lekki), but it’s definitely worth an occasional stop when you’re in the area and want to try something different. We totally recommend it if you’re looking for a boba tea spot in Lagos — they have locations both on the Island and the Mainland.
