Whether you’re planning a birthday hangout, lunch with friends, or just want a place that’s not too uptight, Tamberma Restaurant might just be the perfect pick.
Dining at Tamberma is a full experience. We’re talking indoor dining, an outdoor lounge, a game bar, and even a pool! Yes, a whole poolside section right in VI. So if you’re looking for a new restaurant on the island, this one definitely deserves a spot on your list.
Meals we had
- Honey Sesame Tofu: This one’s for the tofu lovers. Light, crispy, and tossed in a sweet and sticky sauce. It’s not the usual Nigerian starter, but if you like trying new things, this is worth a shot.
- Crispy Fried Fish in Chillies: Hands down the best starter of the day. The fish was perfectly fried, and the chili sauce added just the right amount of heat. If you love fish, don’t skip this one.
- Bitter Leaf Soup & Semo: This dish gave serious homemade vibes. The soup tasted just exactly like bitterleaf soup and had a lot of protein stuffed in it.
- Jollof & Fried Rice with Chicken and Croaker Fish: The fried rice looked different from what you might expect, but the taste made up for it. The jollof was spicy and well-seasoned. The presentation was a bit creative too.
They also have an N6,500 lunch combo, which is great for anyone working in VI or on a tighter budget. We didn’t try it this time, but it’s a good deal to keep in mind.
Drinks we had
If you love cocktails, Tamberma is going to make you happy. We tried two and both delivered:
- Zombie: Strong and fruity, this one creeps up on you. A good pick for anyone who likes a cocktail with a punch.
- Tequila Sunrise: Light, sweet, and refreshing. Great for daytime sipping or if you want something milder.
